A 'Full House' reunion
A 'Full House' reunion
"Full House" ran for eight seasons, but it was never what a rational person would describe as a groundbreaking show. Still, the family-friendly sitcom does hold a place in history. For better or for worse, it introduced the Olsen twins to the world.
The cast recently got together for an unofficial "Full House" reunion in honor of its 25th anniversary. Conspicuously absent: the mega-successful Mary-Kate and Ashley. Why weren't the twins in attendance?
The answer, according to their publicist, anyway, is rather underwhelming. We were told via email that the reunion was in Los Angeles, and Mary-Kate and Ashley "weren't able to attend, given their work schedules."
From the looks of the photos, the twins missed out on quite a party. There was a cake in the shape of the Tanners' house, some ill-advised karaoke, and, we assume, a lot of dissing of the millionaire twins who dared not attend. Kidding!
Sofia Vergara suffers wardrobe malfunction at Emmys

Twenty minutes before the actress and her Modern Family co-stars took the stage to accept the award for Outstanding Comedy Series on Sunday, the zipper on her gown broke, leaving her posterior exposed. The 40-year-old Colombia native reacted quickly by wrapping her fiancé Nick Loeb’s tuxedo jacket around her waist and running backstage to get emergency repairs from her style team.
Vergara later posted a photo of the very revealing incident on WhoSay and tweeted a link to her 2.7 million Twitter followers. The not-safe-for-work photo (which you can see here) showed a portion of Vergara’s exposed rear as well as her underwear. A second photo showed a woman actually stitching up the back of the dress.

Armstrong to enter rehab
Armstrong to enter rehab
Armstrong will be treated for substance abuse, according to a statement from the band released Sunday. The announcement comes just two days after the singer had an on-stage meltdown at iHeart Radio Music Festival at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas--and two days before the Grammy winning rock band's next album, "Uno," is scheduled to be released.
During the group's performance, Armstrong launched a profanity-laced tirade that ended with him smashing his guitar on stage. Not surprisingly, a clip of the tantrum was uploaded to YouTube and quickly went viral.
"Green Day would like to apologize to those they offended at the iHeartRadio Festival in Las Vegas," the band's statement reads. "The band regretfully must postpone some of their upcoming promotional appearances."

Vera Wang wedding dresses Fashion
Vera Wang wedding dresses have always been something that a lot of women, especially brides to be, would want to wear for their wedding. Dresses designed by Vera Wang have been synonymous to a rare balance of quality, style and elegance. Although Vera Wang designs a lot of gowns for various occasions, there is something about her wedding gowns that have made a difference and made the designer rise in the ranks of the world’s most sought-after fashion designers.
Vera Wang wedding dresses have unique designs and intricate workmanship, owing to simplicity and elegance of the beadwork, layering and other details in them. The elaborateness of Wang’s dresses usually presents the user’s body in a very flattering light. There are so many occasions where Victorian ball gowns have become a necessary requirement. Moreover, because of the uniqueness of the designs of Vera Wang wedding dresses, they seem to be always a perfect fit no matter what theme the wedding may have, from Mardi Gras-types, beach weddings, Medieval, garden, Victorian and even more formal settings. Because of their popularity, Vera Wang wedding dresses are much sought-after garments that ladies wear at what most of them consider to be the most important occasion in their lives.
Vera Wang Dresses
Getting Vera Wang wedding dresses shouldn’t be a cause of worry. There are ways of getting them, whether you’re on the budget-conscious or the creative side with lots of time and money. If you want this dress without breaking your wallet, then it is advised to just look around in auction sites for dresses by the designer. Anyway, you’re only going to use it once, so it would be so impractical to actually buy one, which is rather expensive. Of course, you’ll have to make sure the Vera Wang dress you’re going to bid for online is the real thing. Be on the lookout for deals that look too good to be true and auctioneers that sound shifty with their dealings. On the other hand, if you’re someone with the means to buy a brand new original gown, there are always the two flagship stores of the designer in New York and Los Angeles. You may also purchase a dress in Vera Wang’s website.
Now that you know where to source this kind of gown, the question is, should you go ahead and get yourself one? You can, if you think you think you can pull off this kind of gown, which has been known to make any woman feel like a queen on her special day. First, you have to fit the gown you’re aiming to get. Check for three things: check in the mirror if you look good wearing it, check for the fit, and check if you feel comfortable with the fabric. The way you dress ultimately affects your mood throughout an event, so make sure you feel and look good in the Vera Wang dress of your choice. Remember that even if you are in a Vera Wang dress, if it doesn’t feel comfortable, you’ll end up looking miserable the whole wedding, and you wouldn’t want that.

"It was just a wonderful, wonderful project," Chapman added.
But, probably just like the other folks involved in the covert operation that was the Lively-Reynolds nuptials, the Marchesa partners are glad it's all over.
"Huge responsibility, huge!" Chapman laughed when asked if there was a little extra pressure to get the gown (not to mention the bridesmaids' gowns) just right, considering how close they are with the Gossip Girl star.
Then, of course, there was the detail that could have gone without saying.
"She looked amazing," Chapman said.

Avril Lavigne promises 'badass' wedding gown
Pop star Avril Lavigne, the designer, promises a "badass" wedding dress she might make herself when she marries rocker Chad Kroeger.
"Either it's something I'm going to design, or partner up with, collaborate with another designer," she told reporters Monday after presenting the spring collection of her Abbey Dawn clothing line.
Of the 37-year-old Nickelback frontman's proposal after a whirlwind romance, Lavigne said: "It was really natural, and we met in the studio and were friends for a while, and one of our last days in the studio was when he proposed, and it was super romantic and it had a lot of meaning behind it."
Lavigne, 27, was mum on the subject of her ex, Brody Jenner, whose family she remains friendly with. She used one of his sisters, 15-year-old Kylie Jenner, to open and close her downtown runway show.
In a messy topknot, the teen wore a tight, white dress adorned with the brand's initials in black, block letters. Kylie was also the last to walk, in red, ultra-short shorts with garters attached and a black leather and lace biker jacket.
Lavigne debuted Abbey Road in 2008 and also sells signature perfumes. Her rocked-out clothes for spring include human skeletons in black on the front of stretchy, striped dresses and in white on others. Lavigne also used skulls in black lace on jackets and at the hems of minis.
Skulls with little neon rainbows were in another print used for tops, shorts and more mini dresses, matching pink and purple buns atop the heads of models and the streaks in Lavigne's hair.

Sally Struthers' Drunk Driving Arrest
The All in the Family actress, 65, was arrested for drunk driving, specifically on an "OUI" (operating under the influence) charge in near Oguinquit, Maine, the Associated Press confirms.
When reached for comment, Struthers' rep told Us Weekly in a statement:
"Sally is working and she is fine and she loves The Ogunquit Playhouse and her yearly time in Ogunquit. We deny these charges."
Reportedly cooperative at the time of her arrest, Struthers, best known for her role as Gloria (opposite Rob Reiner as "Meathead") in the classic 70s sitcom, was released after posting $160 bail. She has been in Ogunquit performing in a production of 9 to 5.

Lady Gaga shaves part of her head in honor of photographer
While never romantically linked, Richardson has snapped so many pictures of the singer he published a book of them in 2011, “Lady Gaga X Terry Richardson.”
Richardson is known for his work in fashion photography, and has often garnered criticism for his hands-on way of depicting subjects in overtly sexual manners.
Gaga’s tweet about Richardson’s mother also referenced her latest song, “Princess Die,” about the late Princess Diana of Wales.
“She has princess die, but were all princess high,” Gaga wrote.

Why women need some fat to stay healthy
Instead, she has thrived. Her internal organs, brain, and bones developed normally, though her body is tiny. Since she has no fatty tissue in which to store nutrients, she has to eat every 15 to 20 minutes to have enough energy to get through the day. One brown eye started clouding over when she was 4 years old, and now she's blind in that eye and has only limited sight in the other.
"Some days life doesn't make sense," she writes in "Be Beautiful, Be You." "You just have to change what you can, ask for help and pray about the rest."
She notes her triumphs and posts inspirational messages on Tumblr, and says that she's learned to embrace the things that make her unique. Instead of trying to retaliate against people who have made her feel badly, she sets goals for herself and pushes herself to succeed in spite of the haters. She's even reclaimed YouTube, video blogging about everything from bullying to hair-styling tips to staying positive.
"I feel really glad that I don't look like the celebrities out there that are so beautiful," she told Dr. Drew. "There's a lot of stereotypes attached to that." Not looking like a supermodel "gives people the opportunity to know you personally," she explains. "If they're willing to take that extra step they'll get to know the person you really are."
Of course, the horrible comments left on that old YouTube video stung (the video has since been removed, but Velasquez says she read every single comment). Now, she says, she understands that they're "just words."
"I'm human, and of course these things are going to hurt," she said. "Their judgements of me isn't who I am, and I'm not going to let these things define me."
"I didn't sink down to their level," she said in a follow-up video on YouTube last year. "Instead, I got my revenge through my accomplishments and determination. In the battle between the 'World's Ugliest Woman' video vs. me, I think I won."

Bullied into plastic surgery Lizzie Velasquez
Now 23 years old, she's been a motivational speaker for seven years and has given more than 200 workshops on embracing uniqueness, dealing with bullies, and overcoming obstacles. She's a senior majoring in Communications at Texas State University in San Marcos, where she lives with her best friend. Her first book, "Lizzie Beautiful," came out in 2010 and her second, "Be Beautiful, Be You," was published earlier this month.
"The stares are what I'm really dealing with in public right now," she told Dr. Drew Pinsky in an interview on CNN's Headline News this week. "But I think I'm getting to the point where… instead of sitting by and watching people judge me, I'm starting to want to go up to these people and introduce myself or give them my card and say, 'Hi, I'm Lizzie. Maybe you should stop staring and start learning'."
Velasquez was born in San Antonio, Texas; she was four weeks premature and weighed just 2 pounds, 10 ounces. "They told us they had no idea how she could have survived," her mother, Rita, 45, told the Daily Mail. "We had to buy doll's clothes from the toy store because baby clothes were too big." Doctors warned Rita and her husband, Lupe, that their oldest child would never be able to walk or talk, let alone live a normal life. (Her two younger siblings were not affected by the syndrome.)
Lizzie Velasquez,The World's Ugliest Woman,a good model
When she was in high school, Lizzie Velasquez was dubbed "The World's Ugliest Woman" in an 8-second-long YouTube video. Born with a medical condition so rare that just two other people in the world are thought to have it, Velasquez has no adipose tissue and cannot create muscle, store energy, or gain weight. She has zero percent body fat and weighs just 60 pounds.
In the comments on YouTube, viewers called her "it" and "monster" and encouraged her to kill herself. Instead, Velasquez set four goals: To become a motivational speaker, to publish a book, to graduate college, and to build a family and a career for herself.

Consider cost of the custom made wedding dress
Some people have the impression that having a wedding dress custom made should be equal to or even cheaper than the price of the gowns in bridal salons. In fact, quite the opposite can be true. The benefits to a custom gown are numerous: the bride gets exactly the dress she wanted, tailored to her body type. However, making a wedding dress requires many hours of painstaking attention, and brides should not be surprised when labor costs begin to add up.
Brides should be honest about their wedding dress budget with their dressmaker, to see what is and is not possible for the money they want to spend. Fabric choice, amount of lace and trim, and the type of dress can all have an impact on price, and the designer may have many helpful suggestions on how the dress may be made more cheaply.

Custom Wedding Gown Tips
Designers tend to be very visual people, and having photographic examples of what the bride likes and wants is very helpful when designing a wedding dress. Having pictures will also give the dressmaker a chance to discuss potential costs, and how a design might be altered to be more flattering to the bride.
If possible, brides should talk to the wedding dress designer's previous clients, look through his or her portfolio, and see some of his or her work up close. Does the dress look finished and professional? Are there loose threads, buckling and stitches? Is the trim carefully applied, or is there a sloppy look about it? When talking to previous clients, questions to consider might be:
what was the designer like to work with?
was their estimate of costs accurate?
did he/she have trouble meeting deadlines?
were you able to reach the designer easily, or did he/she return phone calls and emails in a reasonable amount of time?

Revenge Fashion
Costume designer Jill Ohanneson attends the 2012 Costume Designers Guild Awards in Beverly Hills, California.
Jill Ohanneson outfits the cast of ABC's "Revenge" with more than 20 years under her undoubtedly stylish belts.
Ohanneson says the key to
costuming the Hamptons-set drama, which follows Emily Thorne (Emily
VanCamp) as she takes vengeance on the people who destroyed her family,
is sticking to pieces that are "simple yet elegant."
"The clothes are really
important because it shows we're not in New York (City). It shows that
we're not in the South. We're not in San Francisco," Ohanneson said.
"What I try to do is really place us in that particular world. That
world of leisure. You know, 'Am I going to go golfing today? Am I going
to go sailing today?' "
So despite what Ohanneson
is drawn to on the runway, she'll stick to pieces that make sense for
the show and on each actor's body.
